Community

Don’t miss out on the exciting events taking place in Saskatoon! I will regularly update the community page with the latest happenings in our city. You can also find information on the charities I support and fundraisers you can donate to. Let’s join forces to leave the world a better place than we found it.

C95 Radio Marathon

The C95 Radio Marathon for Breast Cancer Research will mark its 22nd year on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Last year the event surpassed the $5 million mark in funds raised for breast cancer research in Saskatchewan since it began. Every dollar raised stays in Saskatchewan and helps fund local research projects.

The C95 Radio Marathon for Breast Cancer Research began in 2000 when C95 Morning Show host, Lisa Rendall, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Lisa sadly passed away in 2011, but the event continues to honour her and her legacy.

Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation

Established in 1983, Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation raises money to enhance care at Saskatoon City Hospital. Donors like you have raised more than $50 million to equip the hospital in its role as a provincial leader in eye care, gynecology, day surgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and breast health care.

The Foundation also supports medical teaching and research through programs such as the Cameco MS Neuroscience Research Centre.

Love My Mind

The Love My Mind Non Profit Initiative was founded by the Anderson family in memory of Mark Anderson, who struggled for years from addiction and the darkness of depression. Mark took his own life in November of 2018 and our family was left wondering what we could have done differently. During the grieving period our family quickly recognized a desperate need for awareness, connection and support surrounding mental health, addiction, and suicide.

TeleMiracle

TeleMiracle is the annual fundraising event where Saskatchewan is invited to “Ring Those Phones”! Money is raised all year long, culminating in a live 20-hour, televised telethon. Enter here to get involved in TeleMiracle, so the Kinsmen Foundation can continue “Helping People Every Day”!
